Indiana Lake Homes For Sale

Indiana Lake is a 122-acre spring-fed all-sports lake that straddles the Indiana-Michigan state line south of Baldwin Lake near Union, Michigan. Indiana Lake real estate, with easy access to the Indiana Toll Road, is 10 miles from Elkhart’s shopping and restaurants, 15 miles from Amish attractions around Shipshewana, 25 minutes from South Bend and the University of Notre Dame. It is just five minutes from the Zimmyville area that includes Zimmy’s Tavern, Mills Grocery, George’s Café, and Fred’s Wildlife Creations. About 60 percent of the 110 homes are year-round residents, and one-fourth of the shoreline is an undeveloped wooded area on Indiana Lake. Property for sale on the Indiana side is mostly smaller cottages. On the Michigan side, Indiana Lake homes for sale are mostly larger and newer.

Indiana Lake Real Estate

The clear-water lake, with a maximum depth of 65 feet, offers excellent fishing for smallmouth and largemouth bass, croppie, lake perch, bluegill, rock bass, and sunfish. The Indiana Lake association hosts two fishing tournaments each year as well as three movie nights, a garage sale, a poker run, a Memorial Day parade, a decorated-boat flotilla on July 4, and flares on Labor Day. There is no public access to the lake, so it is not crowded even on holidays.
