The lake is less than a half hour from South Bend, Indiana and Chicago is a little over two hours away. As an all-sports lake, Clear Lake is good for an array of water activities. Clear Lake Area Attractions

People come from all over to enjoy the lakes around Three Rivers, MI. However, there is much more to this area than days on the water. Being close to South Bend means residents and visitors can enjoy everything the city has to offer. From Notre Dame to the many cultural attractions, there is so much to do in the area. Kalamazoo is only about a 45-minute drive from Clear Lake. The city has various museums, performing venues, and more to enjoy. It is an ideal destination for a day trip if you are staying near Clear Lake.

Swiss Valley Ski and Snowboard Area is a popular destination for skiing and other winter sports. It is only about 15 minutes from Clear Lake. Binder Park Zoo is only about an hour from Clear Lake. The zoo has a wide array of animals. It provides a nice family day of fun and education. Binder Park Zoo is open from spring through the fall season. Check out Corey Lake Orchards for fresh produce and other goods. This market is one of the best places to get fresh produce in the spring and summer seasons. They also sell baked goods and other farm products.

Clear Lake Outdoor Activities

Boating: People love taking boats out on Clear Lake. It is also a good spot for canoeing and kayaking. You can find the Clear Lake boat launch near the south side of the lake.

Fishing: Clear Lake is home to a variety of fish species, making it a popular destination for fishing enthusiasts. The lake has bluegill, crappie, northern pike, sunfish, largemouth bass, and walleye.

Hiking: The many hiking trails can also be nice for a day outside. Corey Lake North Bay Preserve is near the north end of Clear Lake. Coon Hollow Preserve is also nearby. There are several places to enjoy hiking and biking around Three Rivers.

Golfing: Golfers can find some nice courses in the area. Sauganash Country Club is only about 15 minutes from the lake. Pine View Golf Course is also nearby.

Swimming: The clear, refreshing waters are perfect for a swim on a hot summer’s day.
